Our Story, Our Legacy

This website is the work of the Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPHR), founded by and for Rohingya survivors. After we were forcibly displaced from our homeland in Myanmar, we came together to begin the difficult process of rebuilding our lives in the refugee camps of Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

In early 2018, guided by our late chairman Mohibullah, we began going door to door across the camps to collect testimonies from families about the violence, harm, and losses they experienced during the military operations of 2016 and 2017. These operations forced hundreds of thousands of Rohingya to flee their homes and left deep scars on our community.

We chose to collect this information by name, because every person who suffered deserves to be known. Every life matters. Every testimony is a form of resistance to forgetting. By recording the names of our people and the crimes they endured, we are preserving truth and demanding recognition.

This website serves as a platform for that truth. It is a living archive of the Rohingya people’s experiences, resilience, and pursuit of justice.

Our history will not be erased.

Together, we continue the work of Mohibullah and honour all those who suffered.
